The Club’s Mission Statement is

“The Pathway to “Tangaroa’s” knowledge.”

Club Culture: Aratika club encompass and respects all cultures. The club’s culture is to create and foster friendship among the people who practice the sport of Maori and Polynesian canoe paddling and sailing regardless of culture, religion, and political affiliation, Age or Gender.

From your first warm welcome to being a proficient paddler, Aratika Water Sport will share their knowledge and experience helping you to achieve your goals as an elite or social paddler.
Aratika Water Sports is nestled under the great pohutukawas trees at Birkenhead Wharf.
 Just a short walk down the ramp to our waters in Waitemata Harbour. You’ll never miss a training with our array of Waka. Aratika Water Sports have 5x W6 waka, 2x W2 and 2x singles.

The culture of the sport is to first participate, no matter your Shape, Size, or Weight. Opportunity to compete regionally, nationally and internationally

We train Saturdays and Sundays 7.30am for experienced and 9.30am for new comers. Also evenings – currently Thursday at 5.30pm.
